32in human years
Life stage: Young adult
Care tips for this life stage
- Book a checkup at least once a year.
- Use year-round parasite prevention; indoor-only cats are at risk too.
- Watch for weight gain and keep play, toys and scratching posts in the routine.
How this calculator works
The calculator uses the International Cat Care conversion. The first two years of a cat's life equal 24 human years, with 15 reached at the first birthday. Each year after that adds four. Cats under 2 years are read from the same chart, which starts at 1 month. The life stage shown follows the 2021 AAHA/AAFP Feline Life Stage Guidelines. Those guidelines group cats by age and give no human-year equivalents.
